
Meet Mikayla
Hi, my name is Mikayla and I’m a certified fitness instructor with over 20 years of dance experience and 3 years of teaching group fitness. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science, along with a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification. My passion is combining movement, strength, and motivation to create a fun and energizing class environment that helps people achieve their health and fitness goals.
My classes are designed to be high energy and results driven, but most importantly, I aim to make them an enjoyable experience for everyone, regardless of fitness level. In addition to fitness and dance, I also specialize in assisted stretching techniques to help improve flexibility, mobility, and overall body alignment.
My Why
I started teaching dance fitness during a time when I truly needed more light in my life. Movement has always been my outlet, and blending my two worlds of dance and fitness became not only healing for me but transformational. These classes have been a source of joy, strength, and mental clarity. Every time I teach, I feel reenergized by the atmosphere and the people in the room. It’s more than a workout. It’s a vibe, a reset, and a celebration of what our bodies can do. My mission is to create a safe space where clients feel seen, supported, and uplifted, and always leave class feeling better than when they walked in.
My Dance Background
I’ve had the honor of dancing for the OCC Dance Team in college, PACE Elite All Stars, and Footnotes Fusion. I’m a 5-time Dance Worlds Gold Medalist and proudly served 4 years on JAMZ staff, where my teaching journey truly began. These experiences shaped my discipline, love for performance, and ability to lead with passion and positivity.
